Last year in our competition to become an ALL-Star Connection group, we had two classes that were ALL Star through and through — The Bill Howell Coed Class and The Joyful News Class. They completed all 7 Ministry/Growth Steps. Three classes completed 6 stars; two classes completed 5 stars; and five classes completed 4 stars. Every class completed at least two of the ministry/growth steps. CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL as we have attempted to grow the Kingdom of Heaven together this year. MAY WE All BE A TESTIMONY TO OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN who loves us so much that He sent His son to earth. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
This January we launch a NEW 2010 Adult All-Star Connection Groups Emphasis. The goal is to see each class strive to grow spiritually as a group and be a testimony to all those who live in Boiling Springs — that we LOVE the one who has saved us. Listed here are the seven features of an All-Star class I have chosen after much prayer. This challenge is for the period January 1 until December 25 (Jesus’ birthday).
The seven challenges are:
▪ Complete one mission trip or two mission projects with a good percent of class average attendance participating by December 25. ▪ The class is represented by at least one member during at least 6 of the 9 GROW Visitation Nights that will meet the rest of this year. You can attend any Tuesday night that we meet and be recorded in attendance – NOT just the week your class is assigned to. ▪ On Picture Day March 7, have at least 75% or more of your total member enrollment in your class picture. ▪ Increase class enrollment by 10 %. ▪ Exceed all previous attendances for 2010 on Fall High Attendance Day (Circles of Concern, Sunday, November 7). ▪ The Class should have an up-to-date Prayer Chain ministry that communicates weekly prayer needs to class members and encourages the people your class is praying for. Include weekly “Un-Churched” your group is praying for in your weekly prayer ministry. ▪ Have at least one Class member attend FAITH this year ▪ BONUS stars – Do an outreach/evangelism event in our area as a class. (Examples: Block Party, Neighborhood Survey, Backyard Bible Club, Etc. Do extra Ministry projects as a class, for each two projects your class will receive one star.
